Carolina de Barros Jewellery pieces are often irregular and textured, this is intentional and a fundamental part of the design.

We advise not to use beauty products such as perfume and lotions near the jewellery. Please be careful to avoid exposing jewellery to household chemicals and cleaning products, which may also damage the stones and metal. To maintain the finish, keep your jewellery stored clean and dry.

Silver To remove any tarnish, you can use a polishing cloth or even a soft toothbrush with some mild detergent. Make sure to rinse your jewellery well afterwards.

​Gold plated All our gold plated jewellery is made of 925 sterling silver with a layer of 3 micron 18ct gold plating. Gently polish by hand with a clean cloth or bring it to your local jeweller for an ultrasonic clean. The more you wear your jewellery, the more the top layer eventually wears off. 

Gemstones We work with natural gemstones, for that reason, inclusions and colouring can differ from stone to stone. All Freshwater Pearls used in our jewellery are unique, shapes and sizes are all different.
The gems in the jewellery can crack or break if dropped against a hard surface, careful handling is recommended.
